Do I need to have a CV? It’s important to be able to summarise all of your experience,
qualifications and personal details in one single document, as this is
what we use when we first approach our clients with potential candidates.
If you need help writing your CV, click here to visit the Kate
+ Co Candidate Clinic and read our simple guide to creating the perfect
CV.
How do I register with Kate + Co? One option is to visit our Jobseeker
Registration page and enter your details there. One of our consultants
will then contact you to arrange an initial interview. Alternatively,
just give the office a call on 0121 7050077 to set up an interview.
What should I bring to my initial interview? We will need a copy of your CV, proof of identification (for
example a passport or driving licence), and a wage slip from your most
recent employer as proof of employment. If you have any references, please
bring those along too. Temporary staff will need to bring along a P45.
What qualifications do I need to have? We place candidates in a wide range of roles which require varying
degrees of experience. While substantial office experience and administrative
qualifications are essential for some roles, not all positions require
this level of expertise. What's more important for many employers is that
their support staff are reliable, polite and conscientious.
When you register we'll ask you to take a series of tests which will evaluate
your spelling, numeracy and computer literacy.
What kind of jobs will you put me forward for? Kate + Co specialises in placing candidates in administrative
support and secretarial roles. This includes everything from office juniors,
personal assistants and administrators to receptionists, secretaries and
account assistants. Before we begin the jobfinding process, we will consult
with you about what kind of positions you’re interested in and what
type of companies you’d like to work for.
Do you only supply temporary staff? No. Kate + Co handles both temporary and permanent assignments
and which kind of position we put you forward for will be up to you. Many
candidates prefer the flexibility of temporary working, while others like
the stability of a permanent position. If you’re not sure which
type of role is right for you, just arrange an appointment with one of
our consultants, who will talk you through the options.
How much will I get paid? Salaries vary according to the position and your level of experience.

rates of pay.
How long will it take me to get placed?
This varies from candidate to candidate and depends on your individual
circumstances and the kind of job you’re looking for. The important
thing to remember is that we will only put you forward for jobs we think
will suit you at companies where we think you’ll enjoy working.
We don’t go for quick-fix solutions as they rarely work. Instead,
we believe it’s better to take our time and make sure we get it
right.
